Roles and Responsibility:
  • Should be able to handle both IGSCE & IBDP classes
  • Should have experience handling both HL & SL levels of IBDP
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously update existing unit plans and related documents.
  • Work collaboratively with members of the department and positively contribute to departmental tasks, such as policies, common assessments, instructional practices, grading practices, etc.
  • Embrace the department's focus on student-centered learning and critical thinking.
  • Encourage all students to actively engage in their own learning and review their progress against targets.
  • Take into account the differing ability levels of students and differentiate work accordingly.
  • Set appropriate tasks and challenges according to the published timetable, and ensure that work is regularly evaluated, with constructive feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress in line with departmental and school policy.
  • Contribute to school committees and staff meetings.
  • Attending meetings with parents and staff.
  • Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Recent Valid Certification in IBDP.
  • Experience working in an IB Diploma & IGCSE school.
  • Fluency and accuracy in written and spoken English.
  • Computer skills at a level that permits the creative and effective use of technology in the classroom.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team, preferably involving both national and international staff.
  • Dedicated to student learning.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Team player with the ability to delegate and coordinate work.
  • Willing to work creatively with available materials/ resources.
  • Able to create and teach interdisciplinary lessons.
  • Understand the developmental characteristics, differences in learning styles and intelligence and adapt lesson planning and teaching appropriately.
